As it is well known to us that Micromax is a successful inventor of many UI and budget smartphones and tabs, but this time they are promising something that can literally revolutionize the market created by the budget Android smartphones.
Why will you buy the device?
The first thing that will click your mind is the cost for which you will definitely take a chance to try the brand name Micromax.
Secondly, the built and the features will drive your attention if you are truly looking forward to get hold of a smart looking and cheaper mobile phone with all the features of the top ruling current smartphones manufactured by top mobile phone makers. No matter what, smartphone users are much attracted towards the Octa-core processor, excellent gigabytes, and brilliant camera. And when you can get all these features in one phone, you would prefer to bag it without a second thought. But let us warn you- will you be able to expect the same performance that the apparently costlier phones offer? The question still remains.

This is one of the finest looking smartphones in the Canvas series by Micromax. The black body and the champagne golden frame of the phone are simply enticing. The matte finished body with a subtly rounded back is impressive. With its look, the new Canvas Xpress 2 can beat any upscale smartphones. It gives a wonderful grip as you hold the device and even it never wobbles when the back panel is removed.
Display – Canvas Xpress 2
No wonder what this is the cheapest phones that offer a Gorilla Glass. We found some color distortion while trying to view from different angles. Otherwise, the 5-inch screen portrays brightly and the touch response is pretty impressive.
The Canvas Xpress 2 is powered with octa-core processor 1.4GHz MediaTek (MT6592) with 8 GB internal storage and 1 GB RAM. You can get around 5 GB of usable space. 4G radio is not included otherwise the device supports WIFI, 3G and GPS.
You will not get the latest Lollipop Android version with this phone. Though, Micromax has promised to upgrade it with Android 5.0 Lollipop soon. The Canvas Xpress 2 is built with the Android 4.4 KitKat that is available with customized UI and there is also no support for the themes. Unlike the Chinese smartphones that have integrated home screen, this Micromax device follows the home screen plus app launcher navigation system.
The volume and power keys are plastic made and are positioned in the right edge of the phone. You can put the 3.5mm headset jack at the head of the device and the micro-USB port is kept in the bottom along with the speaker grille.
